I’m Peter van Zeist, a Principal Solutions Consultant, Technical Presales expert, Systems Engineer, and Manager of an EMEA-wide team of Solutions Consultants. With over 21 years of experience in the dynamic realms of SaaS and Cloud, I’m here to bridge the gap between your business conundrums and the software solutions that can propel your success.
My adventure in technology kicked off with online meetings, remote support, enterprise file sharing, and remote access. Before diving into these areas, I honed my skills by developing both front- and backend components for B2B websites and providing hardware and software support. Currently, my focus is on Password and Identity Management, catering to large enterprise clients across DACH, Benelux, and the UK/I regions.
Throughout my career, I’ve spearheaded projects that introduced cloud and hybrid software solutions to leading enterprises across EMEA, playing pivotal roles in numerous flagship initiatives. This journey has equipped me with a blend of customer-facing expertise, a solution-oriented mindset, and a knack for project management.
Beyond the tech sphere, I’m a passionate advocate for environmental conservation. As an avid scuba diver, I’ve witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of reef destruction and climate change. In my personal life, I strive to reduce my family’s carbon footprint through various means: driving electric vehicles, utilizing public transport, harnessing green energy at home and in my home office, and installing a photovoltaic system. These efforts not only align with my environmental values but also provide a wealth of experiences that I look forward to sharing on this blog.
Since becoming a homeowner in 2020, I’ve delved into home automation and improvement projects. These endeavors are not only enjoyable but also significantly reduce the energy required to operate and heat our home.
I’m committed to staying abreast of the latest developments in science and technology, indulging in programming websites, blogging, and exploring all things tech. Engaging in discussions on a wide array of topics is something I thoroughly enjoy.
When it comes to motorsports, I’m an enthusiast with a particular fondness for Formula One, as well as Formula E, DTM, Rally, ADAC GT Masters, and endurance racing. To get hands-on experience, I actively race electric remote-controlled cars in 1/10th and 1/8th scales.
On the home front, I’m a proud father to a 8-year-old daughter, a devoted husband to an amazing wife, and share our space with two delightful cats. Our family cherishes exploring the world together while tuning into a variety of podcasts.
